Living The Shamanic Apprenticeship

April 24 - October 31, 2018
I am calling forward a committed tribe of adventurous souls who are ready to step more deeply into your shamanic cellves. Life is mystery and everything has consciousness! Embracing shamanic consciousness means setting aside our ordinary five senses and developing the tools of navigation needed to negotiate the more subtle world of the inner landscape, the unseen realms, our energy bodies, and the forces of nature. This is a world of symbolism, archetypes, patterns, and frequencies. It requires a keenly developed intuition, presence, and the ability to listen.

As shamanic adepts, one of the greatest skills we can cultivate is to get out of our own way and become a "hollow bone," a conduit for Spirit. Shamans are "walkers between the worlds," simultaneously living in the 3D and accessing altered states and other dimensions of time and space.

My teacher and creator of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, Don Oscar Miro-Quesada says:

"A shaman is one who develops a personal and intimate relationship with the unseen world for the purpose of being of service as a healer. This relationship is cultivated experientially through self-induced altered states of consciousness, ceremony and refined energetic awareness.

"Shamanism is not a religion. It is a spiritual practice grounded in a reverent awareness that the world is animated, conscious and energetically interdependent. The shaman’s task is to come into right relationship and reverent communion with the seen and unseen world so as to mediate between worlds on behalf of the community or individual."

In this six month experiential apprenticeship, we will explore multiple themes, skills, and awarenesses, including:

Bullet Death & Rebirth mysteries
Bullet Boundaries, living as an empath
Bullet Energetic hygiene and daily practices, including using breath to move energy
Bullet Purpose and creation of altered states
Bullet Ceremony and ritual, working with medicine pieces
Bullet Interpreting signs and symbols
Bullet Walking the shamanic path
Bullet Honoring all life as sacred and sentient
Bullet Divination and timing

This apprenticeship is being offered as a result of one of my students who expressed an interest in learning more about the shamanic arts. After crafting a program to suit his specific wishes and schedule, we agreed that it would be a much more dynamic and deep experience if there were others to take the journey with us.

This is an initiatory process in which one steps with trust through the initiatory portal, not always knowing what is on the other side. Our time together will include teachings, check-ins (using a council process), ceremony, time in naturally induced altered states, group sharing, art, connecting with nature, and practice. This is an immersion-type of process, where you will be gathering wisdom through your own direct experience.

Please note that while I will be activating and using my Pachakuti Mesa (from the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Peru), this is not an apprenticeship in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition nor an apprenticeship in any particular lineage. This is an experiential program in the shamanic arts designed to help you understand the nature of shamanic consciousness and to deepen your walk as a shamanic being.

This will be a closed circle, meaning once the circle has formed, the group of men and women called to this work will walk through the six-month apprenticeship together. Both an energetic and financial commitment are essential for group cohesion. Because the group will be closed and no new participants will be allowed to enter the circle once we have begun, no refunds will be allowed. Payment in full is preferred, however, I understand the times we are in and I have created a payment plan for those who cannot manage the full-pay option.

I look forward to deepening our shamanic walk together in service to self, community and planet!

In love and joyous service,

Rev. Dr. Stephanie Red Feather
